Issue/Introduction

When Using Symantec Encryption Management Server (formerly PGP Universal Server) you might want to deliver email through email relay specifying it FQDN. Currently SEMS deliver mail only based on A record lookup against specified FQDN, while exist MX records of FQDN are not concerned. This feature request will help to introduce the email routing based on MX records lookup for email routing

55B4F17637C: to=<[email protected]>, orig_to=<root>, relay=none, delay=2378, delays=2322/0.18/56/0, dsn=4.4.3, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=intranet.domain.com type=A: Host not found, try again)

Cause

Currently application design suppress MX lookups for specified FQDN.

Resolution

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.
