Does the XCOM Management Center support the PLEXQ running on XCOM for z/OS?

Issue/Introduction

The XCOM Data Transport Management Center is a platform-independent application that lets you use web browsers to schedule data transfers between local and remote XCOM Data Transport servers. The product also lets users access historical records and the status of previously scheduled transfers.  

Does the XCOM Management Center support the PLEXQ running on XCOM for z/OS?

Environment

• XCOM™ Data Transport® for z/OS
• XCOM™ Data Transport Management Center

Resolution

The answer is NO. Requests to access the PLEXQ must run as native JOBS or STCs on z/OS. The Management Center does not have access to the IBM Coupling Facility.  You will need to define each of the individual servers to the Management Center.
