BUG REPORT: Outgoing messages are not saved in the "Sent Items" folder when Offline-Send Clear policy is set for Desktop client

Issue/Introduction

Configuring the offline policy for messaging to use "Offline:Send Clear" causes outgoing emails not to be saved in the "Sent Items" folder when using Outlook.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following release:
        •     Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.3.1 MP1


This version/Maintenance Pack is available for download via your account on Symantec File Connect.
 

The 10.3.1 release notes write:
"Emails sent are now saved in the Sent Items folder of Microsoft Outlook when the Symantec Encryption Management Server offline mail policy is set to "Send clear." [3201403]"


Applies To

Symantec Encryption Desktop below 10.3.1 MP1 using offline policy "Offline:Send Clear".

The problem was observed with Outlook 2003 or 2010 as an email client using MAPI protocol.
