Windows Indexing service can cause performance problems

Issue/Introduction

High CPU or disk IO on the Notification Server.

Cause

The Indexing Service can search all files, however because of the volume of files that exist for very short periods this is attempting to search and index files that do not need to be indexed.

Resolution

Disable the "Windows Search" service or "Windows Indexing" service whichever is enabled.
