Endpoint Protection

If Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) is installed on drive other than C:\ and Windows 8 is upgraded to Windows 8.1, the SEP client services are missing.

Perform a repair installation on the SEP client to resolve the issue.

  • Repair the client service by opening Add/Remove Programs, right-clicking Symantec Endpoint Protection, and selecting the Repair option.
  • Reinstall the Teefer driver.
  • Restart the client computer.

Symantec is working on this issue with Microsoft. This document will be updated when a complete resolution has been reached.
