Resolution

Note:  The issue discussed in this kb has been addressed in pcAnywhere solution 12.6.8 as provided in Symantec Client Management Suite 7.5 SP1 release. http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC7355

Please install pcAnywhere HF 1 from SIM before applying this fix.   More information can be found at http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC6435

The following steps need to be performed on the SMP server.

1. Download and Extract attached pcA_7.5_Filters_PointFix.zip
2. Launch command with "Run as administrator".
3. Navigate to the extracted folder location.
4. run install.cmd
5. Enable the pcA plug-in policies and you will observe that filters are working correctly.

NOTE:  If you don't immediately see results after applying the filter fix, wait a few minutes or run a Resource Membership Update to have the server repopulate the filters and targets.
