Article ID: 158173

Updated On:

Encryption Management Server File Share Encryption Powered by PGP Technology

When using Symantec Encryption Desktop (formerly PGP Desktop) in managed environment you may require policy update on demand in order to speed up your tests. You may use "Update Policy" menu item available for Show Symantec Encryption Desktop icon in system tray in order to update policy manually. But when effective policy does not allow to display Show Symantec Encryption Desktop in system tray you unable to perform policy update.

This feature request would help to introduce command line parameter for PGPTray.exe which will have same functionality as "Update Policy" menu item available for Show Symantec Encryption Desktop icon in system tray.

Currently policy update performed automatically based on policy settings and on demand through tray icon.
