While running LiveUpdate from the Symantec Critical System Protection Console, an error appears.
1)
Error: Cannot access file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Java LiveUpdate\jlu.jar
class java.io.IOException
The system cannot find the path specified
and/or
2)
Error: Cannot access file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Java LiveUpdate\jlu.jar
class java.io.IOException
Access is denied
The error 1) occurs because the folder Java LiveUpdate does not exist.
The error 2) occurs if the folder exists but lacks permissions.
1. Create manually the folder Java LiveUpdate in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Symantec Shared\,
2. Edit Permissions from Properties > Security and give Full Control to logged in user.
LiveUpdate will now run normally.
