After deploying an image to a Windows Vista, Windows 7 or 2008 Server system, the DAgent is unable to communicate with the Deployment Server
The following is seen in the DAgent log:
[05/29/2008 20:55:37.979 5152 1] WaitForSysPrep.cpp:25 - Internal WaitForSysPrep
[05/29/2008 20:55:37.980 5152 1] WaitForSysPrep.cpp:36 - Checking on Microsoft key for Sysprep
[05/29/2008 20:55:37.982 5152 1] WaitForSysPrep.cpp:43 - Image state is IMAGE_STATE_SPECIALIZE_RESEAL_TO_OOBE
The Image state may also show as UNDEPLOYABLE.
The following registry key is set incorrectly after a new image is deployed to the computer.
HKLM | Software | Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion | Setup | State | ImageState
This may be caused by Microsoft sysprep information corruption during the creation of the image.
Change the registry key
HKLM | Software | Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion | Setup | State | ImageState = IMAGE_STATE_COMPLETE
Restart the DAgent service.
Applies To
