Issue/Introduction

Provisioning of new email domains via the control center Protocols->Domains page triggers a restart of the Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG) mail server. Provisioning large numbers of email domains has a negative impact on MTA startup time.

Resolution

With SMG version 10.0.2, the underlying storage mechanism for domain and routing information has been updated to improve both scalability and performance.
