When you run a datacollection job in CCS you see the following message under the "Messages" tab of the job.
"Job Exception Occurred" "[Field] not found: [Unix.Machine.ISWASRUNNING]"
or
"Job Exception Occured" "[Field] not found: [VMWAREVCENTERSERVERVERSION]"
"Job Exception Occurred" "[Field] not found: [Unix.Machine.ISWASRUNNING]"
or
"[Field] not found: [VMWAREVCENTERSERVERVERSION]”
This issue is caused by the installation of SCU 2012-4. While the install may finish successfully, and everything within CCS report that all versions are correct.
An issue occurs where certain files on the CCS Manager/DPS do not get updated correctly. In this case the "Unix.schema.dll" or "Windows.schema.dll" in the DPS folder will still be at an older version.
Look at the release notes for SCU 2012-4 and find all the files that were updated, and verify they are all the correct version.
For instance in the "Reporting and Analytics\DPS" folder these files were updated to version 11.0.546.10200 verify they were successfully updated if not then manually copy over the correct version.
