Issue/Introduction

Daily status email not sent after migration to Symantec Encryption Management Server 3.3.0.

To verify if this is the same issue you can SSH into the SEMS server and run

# /usr/bin/pgpdailyemail

 When you manually attempt to run the daily status email script you receive the following java error.

 

 

Resolution

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.  Please be sure to refer back to this document periodically as any changes to the status of the issue will be reflected here.

 

Symantec does have a work around solution to this issue. Please contact Technical Support for assistance with this issue. This work around requires modifying some of the components on Symantec Encryption Management Server and needs to be done by support to help eliminate future issues with the product.

This issue is seen from migration PGP 3.2.1mp5 or prior to Symantec Encryption Management Server 3.3.0 and above.
