Does Symantec Drive Encryption completely encrypt Solid State Drives (SSD)?

Symantec Drive encryption encrypts all disks 100%, regardless of whether the disks are Solid State Drives (SSD) or Hard Disk Drives (HDD). Symantec Drive Encryption encrypts every possible used and unused block of the disk to ensure the security of the data.

The wear leveling feature of Solid State Drives leaves fragments of user files on the drive.  Since wear leveling is implemented at the firmware level on the SSD, it makes securely deleting user files physically impossible to do at the upper file system level.  Since Symantec Drive encryption works at the block level below the file system level,  it is immune to this security weakness.
