Currently ITMS 7.1 SP2  Implementation guide  on page 320 has following statement:
“Warning: You cannot use special characters in the application identity user name or password. You may use only alphanumeric characters.”

Information from Implementation guide needs to be adjusted.

Our current testings showing that this needs to be adjusted. Application identity may have all characters which are supported by Microsoft Active Directory policies. I.e. !, ?, $, etc are fully supported. Same way AppID username may contains _ and .

Documentation for upcoming 7.5 version won't have such statement.
