Issue/Introduction

When any user tries to access an IT Analytics cube or report, a warning appears: "The authenticated user cannot access the requested cube. Please verify that the authenticated user has proper privileges to the requested cube on the SQL Server Analysis Services instance on which it is hosted, and that the client machine has the Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB Provider installed.".

When accessing a report directly from the report server url <http://servername/ReportServer> the following error appears "The report server cannot process the report. The data source connection information has been deleted. (rsInvalidDataSourceReference)".

Resolution

Solution 1:

Uninstall and reinstall the affected report(s).

Solution 2:
 

1. Navigate the Properties page of the report in Report Manager <http://SQLServername/Reports>.
2. Select the Data Sources tab in the left list.
3. Under CMDB select A shared data source.
4. Click Browse.
5. Browse to IT Analytics/CMDB.
6. Under ITAnalytics select A shared data source.
7. Browse to IT Analytics/ITAnalytics.
8. Click apply.
