When running CA Librarian Comparator, we want to remove the Copyright and the Comparison command from joblog

Issue/Introduction

When PGM=COMP2 is executed, the Copyright, the Comparison command and the Comparison result are output.

We want to output only the Comparison result when the PGM=COMP2 was executed.

Is it possible to remove the Copyright and the Comparison command output from the joblog ?

Resolution

You can divide the Copyright, the Comparison command and the Comparison results  by using the DDNAME=SYSOUT in the REPORT command, and add the SYSOUT DD  SYSOUT=* statement in the JCL.

As a result, the Copyright and the Comparison command are output in the SYSPRINT DD. And, the Comparison result is output the SYSOUT DD.

If you change the SYSOUT=* of SYSPRINT DD to DUMMY, you can remove the the Copyright and the Comparison command from joblog.

For example;

OLDLINE=((1,'OLD'),(5,(1,80)),(86,'OLD')),    
EQULINE=((10,'EQU'),(14,(1,80),OLD),(95,'EQU')),
NEWLINE=((20,'NEW'),(24,(1,80)),(105,'NEW')), 
DDNAME=SYSOUT                                                           <<== Add this.
