You delete a mobile device from the Symantec Mobile Management for Configuration Manager 7.5 administrator console. If you re-enroll the same mobile device using the same user or a different user, the mobile device does not display in the console.

When a mobile device is deleted from the Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager console, it is considered decommissioned. Configuration Manager decommissions any device (or endpoint) that is removed from the console, but retains the device record in the Configuration Manager database.

When a mobile device is deleted, the Decommissioned0 field in the dbo.SYSTEM_DISC (Configuration Manager database) is set to 1. The [vSMS_R_SYSTEM] view (based on dbo.SYSTEM_DISC) has a filter to remove any decommissioned records. This filter prevents the records from showing when you query the view. The Decommissioned0 field must be changed from 1 to 0 in the [SYSTEM_DISC] table in the Configuration Manager Database.

To update the Configuration Manager database field
  1. Access the Configuration Manager database.
  2. In the [SYSTEM_DISC] table, change the Decommissioned0 field from 1 to 0. When the Decommissioned0 flag for the previous record is cleared, the mobile device will display in the console with the same ResourceID.
