When dragging individual encrypted files from Microsoft Outlook to Symantec Encryption Desktop's (formerly PGP Desktop) PGP Viewer application, the following error is observed:
"No PGP Content"
"PGP Viewer failed to decode the specified data."
"Error: No PGP Content"
It has been decided that the functionality for attachments within PGP Viewer, as described in this article, are working as designed. PGP Viewer does not support viewing attachments directly from Outlook. This feature was never fully implemented from a previous release of PGP Desktop. Forthcoming versions of PGP Viewer will change the wording to indicate its appropriate use. To work around this issue, save the email or attachment to your hard drive, then drag the file to the PGP Viewer application. This solution has been tested and verified.
The problem is known to occur on the following Microsoft Windows systems:
Running any of the following versions of Microsoft Outlook:
