Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS) for UNIX Agent on Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) queries return empty data set and no error messages
bvcontrol.log errors:
1.) /usr/local/BindView/bvcontrol/Linux/bin/CredentialVerifier: error while loading shared libraries: libpam.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
2.) /usr/local/BindView/bvcontrol/Linux/bin/CredentialVerifier: error while loading shared libraries: libaudit.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
The Redhat system files (included with OEL): libpam.so.0 and libaudit.so.0 were missing from the OEL OS installation. These two shared libraries are required in order for the CCS for UNIX Agent to function as they are used for building the security credential keys used for connecting CCS for UNIX Agent back to the RMS/Data Collector server. These libraries may have been removed from the Exadata hardware architecture as part of a security lockdown process.
Install libpam.so.0 and libaudit.so.0 system shared libraries (typically under /lib) so that the CCS for UNIX Agent can create the proper security keys. After these libraries are installed, re-register the CCS for UNIX Agent.
