How to determine the Symantec VIP Enterprise Gateway version

Issue/Introduction

Unable to determine the version of VIP  Enterprise Gateway installed. 

Resolution

• All consoles up to version 9.3 look like below (Legacy maroon colors). These installations contain a versions.txt file in the installation folder with the version installed (for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\VIP_Enterprise_Gateway\version.txt). The path is based on default installation, but it could be different from user-to-user installation procedure.
  
  
  
   
• Enterprise Gateway 9.8.4 and later looks like below (Symantec-themed colors). The major version for 9.8.4 and later can be found at the bottom of the VIP EG console home page.
  
  
  
  
  
  • The minor version (for example, 9.11.0.121) can be viewed in the Gateway's version.txt file:
    • For version 9.8.x and 9.9.x, the default location of the file is in folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\VIP_Enterprise_Gateway.
    • For version 9.10.x and later, the default location of the file is in folder C:\Program Files\Symantec\VIP_Enterprise_Gateway.
