When you launch the Web console, you see an error message. The logon screen does not appear, and you cannot connect to the console.

This problem occurs if Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is installed in a folder path that has a hash mark (#) in the name. Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is not supported when installed to a folder with an illegal character, such as the hash mark.
To solve the problem, install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager in a different folder path.
