Issue/Introduction

Customer was unable to open Symantec Management Console. Event viewer is showing "A process serving application pool 'Classic .NET AppPool' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service."

'503:Getting error service unavailable'

Cause

'Classic.NET AppPool' Application pool was stopped."A process serving application pool 'Classic .NET AppPool' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service."

Resolution

1) Started 'Classic.NET AppPool' application pool

2) Restart IIS  Admin Service
