Is it possible to restore any policy from a Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client to its Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM)?

The SEPM is damaged and no backup of the database is available for disaster recovery. It is possible to export the policies XML file from a SEP client, is it possible to import that into the SEPM to restore policies settings?
It is not possible to import policies from SEP clients to the SEPM.
