PGP Whole Disk Encryption allows a disk to be encrypted with two types of Whole Disk users, Regular Passphrase Users and Single Sign-On Users (SSO).

SSO users authenticate the PGP BootGuard passphrase and since this is the same passphrase as Windows, will subsequently login to Windows. SSO users will also have their Windows passphrase synchronize to PGP BootGuard if it changes in Windows automatically.
PGP passphrase synchronization and auto-logon functionality are a Windows-Only Feature. Mac OSX and Linux OS do not support SSO users and therefore do not support auto-login or passphrase synchronization.
