Issue/Introduction

  1. Unable to pull accurate reports
  2. Unable to create custom reports

Database Access Error: The SEE Manager Console was unable to create the report record in the SEE database. Failed to update database "SEEMSDB" because the database is read-only.

Cause

Possible causes:

  1. Transaction log is full
  2. Database user does not have write permission

Resolution

Clear the transaction logs.

  1. In SQL Server Management Studio, right-click on the GEMSDb/SEEMSDb database
  2. Select Properties
  3. Go to the Files section
  4. Select both the data and log autogrowth columns (Click the "..." characters)
  5. Select “Unrestricted File Growth”

 

Under the database properties ensure the database user has the following permissions:

  • db_datareader
  • db_datawriter
  • connect
  • execute
