Issue/Introduction

The UserActions table in the Identity Governance database tracks the lifecycle of user actions throughout the duration of a certification campaign. This article provides a breakdown of the UserActionState column values to assist with database reporting and troubleshooting campaign data.

Cause

The UserActionState column tracks the current status of an action within a campaign. States are automatically updated by the workflow engine as actions move from creation, to user review, to final submission or archival.

Resolution

The following table defines the numeric values found in the UserActionState column of the UserActions table:

 

 

State Value	Description	Technical Context
1	NEW	The action is currently in progress. The user has not yet submitted a decision.
2	PENDING	The action is in a saved state, waiting for the user to submit their result.
3	SUBMITTED	The user has submitted a decision for the action.
4	ARCHIVED	The action is no longer relevant (e.g., campaign completed, action superseded, or superseded by a new campaign cycle).
