The customer was trying to reset the Enterprise gateway Administrator password per the instructions in knowledge base solution SO18998 and received the following error message:
Failed to reset password for adminname: Failed to delete <VIP_EG_Install>\conf\console_realm.properties. User password reset failed
The cause of this error is the user that is trying to reset Administrators password does not have access to the following file:
<VIP_EG_Install>\conf\console_realm.properties
To resolve this issue please confirm that you are logging in with a user that will have read and write permissions to the following file:
<VIP_EG_Install>\conf\console_realm.properties
Once you have rights with the files, please continue with the steps in knowledge base solution SO18998.
