Mobile Management Mobile Security Management Platform (Formerly known as Notification Server)

C2DM has been officially deprecated as of June 26, 2012. At that time C2DM stopped accepting new users and quota requests. C2DM has been replaced by Google Cloud Messaging for Android (GCM).

-A new release of Symantec Mobile Management was released (SMM 7.2 MR1) on July 10th, 2012, which supports "GCM". If you are not running SMM 7.2 MR1, please open your Symantec installation manager and update it's list of available products. After updating you will then be able to download and install the MR1 release.

-You can continue to use your existing C2DM account to send notifications to android devices until google shutdowns down the C2DM service.

-You can continue to use SMM 7.2 for Android without C2DM, but will lose the capability to immediately deliver (wipe, lock, passcode reset ) and other actions for Android Devices.
