PGP Whole Disk Encryption Status not Reflecting on PGP Universal Server

Issue/Introduction

The status of a PGP Whole Disk Encrypted disk is not reflecting correctly on PGP Server and the Authenticated user of device is missing from Internal Users.

 

Cause

The issue can occur due to a corrupt or bad preference file of PGP Desktop or when intermittent connection with the server or policy is not refreshed for a long period of time.

 

 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, first try updating the client policy with PGP Universal Server (right-click the PGP Tray icon and then select Update Policy).  If the correct policy is still not shown, recreate the PGP Desktop preference file by re-enrolling the client.

 

Use the following steps to re-enroll the client:
 
  1. In the Windows System Tray, right-click the PGP Tray icon and select Exit PGP Services.
  2. Click Start > Run and type %appdata% and then click OK.
  3. Rename or delete the PGP Corporation folder.
  4. Click Start > All Programs Startup > PGP Tray. The PGP Enrollment Assistant is displayed.
  5. Complete re-enrolling the PGP Desktop client.
