Issue/Introduction

Some internet services such as Google Apps are able to limit access based on custom HTTP headers inserted into the secure client-server communication when using SSL interception and scanning. More generally, you may want to insert a custom HTTP header into the SSL communication to support your business or security processes and would like Symantec Web Gateway (SWG) to do it.

Resolution

Symantec Web Gateway does not curently support insertion of additional headers when using SSL interception and scanning. This feature may be added in a future release. Please subscribe to this knowledge base article to be updated with any changes to this feature.
