The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager's (SEPM) Endpoint Status chart is not refreshing on main SEPM Home screen. The Endpoint Status window contains only the phrase "Computers needing a restart. The pie chart which indicates Endpoint Status is missing. There is no information regarding Windows Definitions currently in use on the SEPM or available from Symantec.
This issue did not occur with SEPM 12.1 RU1. Repairing the SEPM from within the Control Panel does not fix the problem.
The Application log in the Windows Event Viewer has the following error:
To resolve these errors, add an exception to the proxy server for *.symantec.com in order to allow communication from the SEPM to reach Symantec servers.
It is also important to ensure that the authentication details configured for the proxy in the SEPM's Server Properties tab are correct. Similar errors result when the SEPM cannot authenticate.
