File Share Encryption Powered by PGP Technology

On a Windows XP system running Encryption Desktop 10.2.x, when you upgrade the system to Windows 7, you are no longer able to access FileShare Encrypted files with the extension .sas7bdat

'Could not open data file: ERROR: File TMP1.BAN_GE.DATA is not a SAS data set.'

  1. Backup the sas7bdat file and then decrypt and encrypted that file again. You will then be able to decrypt and open this file successfully.

  2. Upgrade the standalone client to PGP 10.2.1 version. Once the client is upgraded to 10.2.1, you will be able to open file types ban_ge.sas7bdat files in their original format without any errors.
