Error : Cannot transfer the entity because we failed to get/update data from/on target machine (UpdateEventType method).

Environment

CA Business Service Insight 8.3.x and 9.x

Resolution

This message of the "Event type" indicates that you are trying to import a event which already exists and it is in use.

The BSI application knows this and this action cannot be performed.

If there is no change in the fields of the event type then there is no need to import it since it already exists.
