Altiris Agent service stopping on clients

Issue/Introduction

The Altiris Agent service stops on client computers and the yellow Altiris tray icon disappears (if enabled). In some instances, a C++ error message will appear.

Cause

 

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in Application Metering 6.1 SP1 (6.1.29) and above. Environments that have a previous version of Application Metering 6.1 and all its required dependencies can upgrade going to Upgrade/Install Additional Solutions > Currently Installed on the Configuration tab of the NS console and clicking Upgrade next to Application Metering Solution.
