Endpoint Protection client install fails due to installation wizard interruption

Issue/Introduction

Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.x and above

SIS_INST.log will show the error: "File *** is not trusted. Verification result: 20"

Environment

Windows 7 and above

Cause

SEP installation wizard shows interrupted at the end of installation.

Resolution

1) Use latest Cleanwipe to remove all Symantec applications.

2) Disable and Turnoff UAC in Windows 7 from Control Panel 

1. Access User Control Panel from Start Menu -> Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> User Account 
2. Click on User Account Control settings link. 
3. Move the Slider to Never Notify 
4. Click OK to make the change effective 
5. Reboot.

3) Ensure the install package is saved on the local drive (C:\) and execute the SEP package by holding shift, right clicking, and selecting "Run as Administrator"
