Issue/Introduction

Browsing an element with CA Endevor Quick-Edit it appears as gibberish.

The format of element seems to have been lost and the first characters of the code looks as garbage.

Here is a sample :

Why an element browsed using QuickEdit appears as gibberish?

Resolution

The culprit is the use of ISPF Pack option. The issue occurs if option is set to ON.

Here are the step to resolve the case: 

For any element showing this error - 
1 - Browse the element.
2 - Edit the element.
3 - Enter command PACK OFF
4 - Save the element.
5 - Browse the element.
