Unable to install PGP Desktop on Windows 7.

Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete

Resolution:

Use the following steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Click Start > Control Panel.
  2. Click on User Accounts...
  3. Select the User Access Control option.
  4. Set User Access Control to Never.
  5. Re-start the computer.
  6. Start the installation using Run as administrator option.
