Specifying a password with more than 18 characters during installation of Symantec Security Information Manager 4.7 will cause the installation to fail.
In the file /dbsesa/ldapdb2/idsslapd-ldpadb2/logs/db2cli.log there will be a message
that the password is too long.

There is a limitation of 18 characters for the password when installing IBM LDAP / DB2 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 4.
The Installation-Interface doesn't check for this limit during the installation.
Use a password with 18 characters or less during installation.
