When trying to run setup.exe to install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), an error message indicates "invalid setup.ini file".
(evidence collected is in French)
When inspecting the "setup.ini" file with notepad, is was found to be empty. It was probably corrupted during download.
The solution tested was that technical support provided the customer a non corrupted copy of the setup.ini file and the customer replaced the one he had. One can speculate that downloading the package again might also correct the problem, although it would take a longer time.
