Issue/Introduction

You are unable to enroll users and unable to access PGP Web console. However you are able to do a SSH to the Universal Server. But when you run commands to restart services such as pgpdatalayer, tokend, httpd, you would get the error "Apache configure failed: could not connect to database". When you reboot the Universal Server, you get the error 'Staring Postgresql service failed'.

"Apache configure failed: could not connect to database" and 'Staring Postgresql service failed'.

Cause

The Postgresql service is failing to start, because you have run out of hard disk space on the Universal Server.

Resolution

Run the command df -h.

You will find that the disk on the Universal Server is full or almost full and there is no disk space left on the Universal Server.

Delete some files and free up some space on the Universal Server.

Reboot the Universal Server and the Postgresql service will start.

Then the error "Apache configure failed: could not connect to database" will not show and PGP Universal Server will work fine. Also you would be able to access the PGP web console and enroll users.
