Permissions issue
This is the result of insufficient NTFS permissions on the target computer. The most common cause is a lack of required permissions on the C:\Program Files folder. Perform the following steps to ensure that Administrators, SYSTEM and CREATOR OWNER have Full Control of the Program Files directory:
On Windows 2000/XP
After you have granted Full Control to Administrators, SYSTEM and CREATOR OWNER, ensure that you are logged on as a member of the Administrator group, and then install Symantec Endpoint Protection
