Following an Autoupgrade of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) clients from 12.1.671.4971 to 12.1.1000.157, duplicate entries for the upgraded clients appear in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) Console. If the affected clients are rebooted a second time following the upgrade, the next time they check in with the SEPM the duplicate entries are removed.
This issue has been observed with clients running on the following OS platforms: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 32bit and 64bit. The issue has also been observed with clients running on a variety of hardware platforms, including various models of laptops, desktops and Hyper V Guest systems.
