Cause

During VIP upgrade the ssp.conf file copy failed.

Check the “vipegupgrade.log” file under the folder <VIP EG install folder>\logs for any ERROR operation?
Find entry like “ERROR - Failed to copy .....” related to ssp.conf.

  ERROR - Failed to copy C:\Program Files (x86)\VeriSign\VIP_Enterprise_Gateway\IDP\services\SSP\conf\ssp.confmod to C:\Program Files (x86)\VeriSign\VIP_Enterprise_Gateway\IDP\services\SSP\conf\ssp.conf

Resolution

1. Login to VIPEG console UI and stop the SSP service.
2. Go to folder <VIP EG install folder>\IDP\services\SSP\conf.
3. Rename file ssp.conf to ssp.conf.backup.
4. Rename file ssp.confmod to ssp.conf
5. Start the SSP service from the console UI
6. Login using SSP URL.
