Issue/Introduction

Link aggregation (sometimes referred to as "NIC teaming" or some other terms) is used in some network environments to increase bandwidth between devices as well as to improve fault tolerance. Data centers that make use of link aggregation for mail devices may want to configure Symantec Messaging Gateway to support link aggregation as well.

Resolution

Currently, the SMG software does not support any of the IEEE or proprietary link aggregation mechanisms. This feature is under discussion for inclusion in a future release.
