Issue/Introduction

Unexpected security violations in CA-IDMS/Server.

Why am I unexpectedly seeing security violations when connecting to CA-IDMS/Server?

Environment

CA-IDMS and CA-IDMS/Server, any supported releases.

Resolution

If resource type SGON is secured in RHDCSRTT and you have a user defined with no password, then you must not provide a password when connecting.

If you do provide a password, the connect will fail with a security violation and message DC396010 will appear in the dc-log.
