When trying to establish a connection with IXGLOGR I am getting ABEND=S0EC6 REASON=0F01C008, what causes this?
The ABEND=S0EC6 REASON=0F01C008 can occur if during the IPL task IXGLOGR starts before ACF2 initialization completes. To correct the problem ACF2 should be started via the recommended SYS1.PARMLIB CAISEC00 member.
When z/OS starts up the address spaces associated with z/OS UNIX System Services, there exists a potential for various external security calls. If the external security manager is not active, the results of these calls can lead to various error messages or initialization failure. Because of this, we highly recommend that CA ACF2 be started using the CAISEC00 member in SYS1.PARMLIB.
We recommend creating a member called CAISEC00 in SYS1.PARMLIB to contain the START commands. In CAISEC00, each entry specifies whether to start the started task using the START command (that is, S ACF2 for CA ACF2) and points to other members of SYS1.PARMLIB. These SYS1.PARMLIB members contain additional operands for the START command and can be used to change default options.
