Issue/Introduction

When upgrading the Database Management Solutions from a back-leveled release to a more current release, is it possible to skip intermediate releases.

Resolution

It is normal practice to skip releases when upgrading these tools. For example, you may be upgrading from release r14.5 and to release r18; it is not necessary
to upgrade to the intermediate releases of r15, r16 or r17.

The main consideration as to which releases you can upgrade from and to is that they must both support the Db2 versions and z/OS release in that environment.
