Issue/Introduction

Fix RO96952 introduced the new TIMEOUT parameter for the $DATABASE control statement in the PDSMINIT parmlib member.

Regarding fix RO96952, if the new TIMEOUT parameter is not defined to the $DATABASE control statement in the PDSMINIT parmlib member, will it still get enabled?

Environment

PDSMAN 7.7

Resolution

With RO96952 applied and no TIMEOUT parm included in $DATABASE PDSMINIT, the default will continue to be TIMEOUT=12 (minutes) as it was before the fix.

So you do not need to add TIMEOUT unless you want to specify a value other than 12; valid values are 12-99.
