Explanation why the new password field no longer appears on the TSO logon screen after switching to AES256 encryption with the CA Top Secret Security File.



After upgrading to AES256 encryption with the CA Top Secret Security File, the New Password field no longer appears on the TSO Logon screen.

Resolution

There is no feature or functionality in CA Top Secret that influences whether or not the New Password field appears on the TSO logon screen.

The New Password field appearance in controlled by TSO configuration.

Please check the section titled "Customizing logon panels and logon help panels" inn the TSO/E Customization manual to enable or disable the appearance of the New Password field.
