Configured the reboot schedule on the Software Update Policy > Allow immediate reboot if required.
Enabled 'Override Maintenance Windows' setting and the Client failed to reboot following the Software Update Cycle.
Altiris Agent GUI > Software Updates Tab displays: ‘Next Restart Due At: Next Maintenance Window’
This is functioning as designed. The Maintenance Window is the owner of the processes, so the Client can only reboot when the Maintenance Window opens, for the reboot settings aren't global and are specific to the Software Update Cycle. The Software Update Cycle is controlled by the Default Software Update Plug-in Policy.
